Siyanda is the production assistant at Hoopenberg Berries farm. She hails from Tsolo, a small village in the Eastern Cape. Her interests lie in the development and transference of skills, research, crop establishment and crop production systems. She received her BTech in Agriculture from Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and is studying towards her Masters in Agriculture. Siyanda gained valuable experience as a researcher for the Agricultural Research Council and a teaching assistant at CPUT. She also worked as area manager and quality controller of export berries at Haygrove Heaven farm. News, books, movies and music keep her inspired.
